Our guarantee

Coreido Limited offers explicit guarantees on quality and delivery dates. If you are not satisfied with a job, we will provide another version as quickly as possible at our expense. If the second version is still unacceptable, you have the right to a partial or total refund. The conditions and procedure for contesting a job are described below.

If a delivery is late by more than one third of the translation's total time budget in business days (i.e. 33% late), and if the delay is directly and solely the fault of Coreido Limited, we will refund up to 100% of the cost of the job.

Orders and prices

• These general sales conditions apply to all jobs carried out by Coreido Limited for its clients.
• Coreido Limited makes every effort to keep all documents and personal customer information strictly confidential.
• All translation requests must come with an order stating the price agreed between the parties, sent by mail, email or fax. We reserve the right not to start a job without an order.
• Technical documents must come with reference material supplied by the client, and/or drawings or diagrams that help understand them.
• The price of a translation is based on the word count of the source text, unless otherwise agreed in writing beforehand.
• If a client cancels an order, work already completed is billed at 100% and suspended work at 50%.

Payment

• Unless otherwise specified, invoices are payable within 30 days of their issue date (net 30).
• Any late payment or non-payment makes the entire amount due immediately payable, without notice or other formalities. Coreido Limited reserves the right to charge interest at the official HSBC Hong Kong rate in force on the date of the late payment. The client must also reimburse any costs Coreido Limited incurs to recover the debt.
• All work and orders in progress are suspended in the event of late payment.

Style, complaints and delays

• Coreido Limited cannot be held liable for translations that are not stylistically satisfactory. For advertising and promotional material in particular, our services are limited to translation unless expressly requested; we are not liable for rewriting the text in an advertising style different from the source. Our liability is limited to the amount of the invoice.
• Complaints are only considered if received by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt within seven days of delivery, together with the original documents, the disputed translations and a letter of explanation. After this period, the translation is deemed correct.
• If a complaint is made within this period, Coreido Limited will deliver a revised version at its own expense within one third of the original time frame plus one business day. This second version is used to assess quality and to set the amount of any refund, at Coreido Limited's discretion.
• Coreido Limited is not liable for delays caused by faxes, modems, email or carriers outside its direct control.
• If a delay exceeds one third of the agreed delivery time and is directly and solely attributable to Coreido Limited, a refund agreed between the parties may reach 100% of the job delivered late.
• A defect in one part of a translation is not grounds for questioning the whole translation. Coreido Limited reserves the right to make the necessary corrections.

Governing law

Only written agreements between the parties are taken into account. The courts of Hong Kong have jurisdiction over all disputes. In the event of non-payment, any partial or total reproduction of the translation is unlawful; Coreido Limited may require a client using unpaid material to pay for the translation immediately and, where applicable, to pay compensation for copyright.

Liability

Coreido Limited and its suppliers give no guarantee or condition regarding the services provided, including any implied guarantee of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, ownership or non-infringement of the rights of others. Coreido Limited and its suppliers shall not be liable, for any reason whatsoever, for special, indirect or consequential damages, or for any damages resulting from loss of use, loss of data or lost profits, whether arising from performance of the contract, negligence or any other action connected with Coreido Limited's services.

Payment

Bank transfer, PayPal, credit cards, convenience store (in advance). Payment fees are borne by Coreido. Companies: end of the following month, unless the client has its own rules. Individuals: within one week of delivery.

Delivery

By email unless otherwise requested, from the same day depending on volume and content.

Corrections and cancellation

If you are not satisfied, contact us within one week of delivery (up to three months depending on the plan): we will make corrections free of charge if needed. Cancellation at the client's request may incur fees of up to 100% depending on progress.
