Translator terms and conditions
These terms apply to translators who are members of the Coreido network. By joining the network, you accept them.
Updated October 2026
Purpose
This agreement sets out the terms and conditions applicable to members of the service operated by coreido.com. Applicants ("members") must agree to them. If a member breaches any of these terms, coreido.com may, in addition to any other remedy, terminate the member's participation in the service and withhold any payments due for that participation.
Eligibility
coreido.com has absolute discretion to accept or refuse any applicant.
Removal from the network
coreido.com may terminate any member's participation without reason, in particular for breach of these terms. Members in breach are deactivated immediately, without notice, and receive no credit or payment. Members removed for any other reason receive the payments due to them.
Payments
Coreido usually pays between 45 and 60 days after receiving the supplier's invoice. Members removed for breach of these terms receive no payment.
Payment disputes
Members may not file complaints with our payment processors, including PayPal, about funds paid into their account. Coreido staff will do their best to solve any problem; refunds, if needed, are processed at a time set by Coreido staff. Disputes filed directly with a payment processor cannot be handled properly and lead to account termination without notice.
Changes
Coreido may change these terms at any time; members are responsible for checking them regularly. If Coreido offers additional or replacement services, this agreement applies to them unless a specific agreement is made.
Ownership and confidentiality
All information on websites operated by Coreido is Coreido's proprietary information. Personal information provided by members is kept confidential and is not shared with any third party.
Contact details
You may not contact another member directly, unless it is for a project you (as a translator) were picked for, or you (as a client) picked a translator for. This includes sharing your email address, phone number or any other contact method outside our tools.
Avoiding commissions
You may not negotiate the fee of an ongoing project directly with another member outside Coreido, nor of a project closed without a translator being chosen. Both parties must tell Coreido if the amount paid exceeds the agreed amount after the project is closed; receiving a larger amount without telling us is considered an attempt to avoid commissions.
Legal issues
Members are responsible for legal issues related to their work and to anything they post on coreido.com. The site is governed by the laws of Hong Kong; any legal action takes place in the courts of Hong Kong.
And finally
Thank you for choosing Coreido. We look forward to a mutually successful working relationship.
